Meet the Founders

Haneen is a Palestinian- Jordanian psychologist, born and raised in Amman, Jordan. She started her education at the American University of Beirut and completed her Masters and PhD in the University of London.
Haneen has devoted her career to advancing mental health support for children and families in the Arab world. She has mostly worked in private clinics around the world including London, Lebanon, Amman and Dubai. Her role included developmental assessments, child therapy , parent training and community outreach programs.
With the escalation of the atrocities in Gaza, Haneen redirected her expertise and energy toward providing vital psychological support for those most acutely impacted by genocide and displacement. She is passionate about developing and implementing trauma-informed, culturally attuned interventions that honor the unique strengths and challenges within Palestinian communities. Through remote and in-person counseling, her team provides safe spaces for children and families to process their experiences, foster resilience, and rebuild hope.

Chantale, founder of Brainspotting MENA, is an internationally renown addiction and trauma specialist, specialist counsellor, consultant, and Brainspotting Trainer. Beirut-born, Sydney-raised, and now based in Dubai, Chantale brings over two decades of experience in the rehabilitation sector across Australasia, the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East. Her work is driven by a passion to reduce suffering and create lasting pathways to recovery through neuroscience and psychotherapy.
In 2016, Chantale received the Young Alumni for Outstanding Achievement award from the University of Sydney and has been recognized as a Health Science Thought Leader and frequent invited speaker at Sydney Health Leaders. She has presented internationally on brainspotting, addiction, trauma resolution, high performance, and family interventions.
Her career began in long-term residential treatment, advancing from case management to facility operations. In 2011, she co-founded a nonprofit residential program for Middle Eastern communities in Sydney, which continues today under the patronage of the Maronite Eparchy. Recognizing the need for early intervention, she launched her private practice in 2013, expanding to work with elite athletes, executives, creatives, public figures, and royals, as well as schools and sports clubs worldwide.
Discovering Brainspotting transformed her clinical practice, and under Dr. David Grand’s mentorship, Chantale is training as the first Brainspotting Trainer in the Middle East & North Africa. Her vision is to empower practitioners across the region to bring this modality to their communities.

Dalea is a Lebanese psychologist, with years of experience in trauma-informed care. She is dedicated to addressing the mental health needs of children, teachers, and families who are impacted by war and conflict. She also brings in managerial experience to ensure the steady growth of Keif as an organization.
Dalea was born in the U.S. to parents who had immigrated from Lebanon. At age 12, she and her family returned to Lebanon, as her father was determined for his family to not forget their origins. Dalea completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the American University of Beirut. She went on to complete her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in the U.S.. Since completing her Psy.D. in 2012, she has worked with a range of people in need, including those struggling with addiction, trauma, psychosis, homelessness, and those in the prison systems. She moved to Dubai in 2023 to be more closely connected to her family and to her Arab culture, which has been a success. She currently works in private practice. Dalea is passionate about making mental health care accessible to those deeply in need and advocating for people whose rights are being critically violated, such as those in war-conflicted areas.

Ninar is a Lebanese-Canadian Clinical Psychologist and co-founder of Keif Community. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Walden University, along with a Master’s in Educational Psychology from McGill University, a Master’s in Applied Psychology from Walden, and a Bachelor’s in Education from the American University of Beirut.
With nearly two decades of international experience across Dubai, Beirut, and Montreal, Ninar has worked extensively with children, young people, and families in both public and private health sectors. She began her career as an Educational Psychologist, developing individualized programs for children with learning and developmental challenges. In Montreal, she worked with the Ministry of Health and Social Services, supporting vulnerable youth and their families through trauma-informed care, attachment therapy, and the pioneering “My Family, My Community” program, which helped children remain connected to their communities.
More recently, she has provided assessment and treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings for a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, trauma-related disorders, and schizophrenia. She integrates evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, trauma-focused CBT, DBT, play therapy, brainspotting, and parenting work.
Passionate about early intervention and resilience-building, Ninar has also contributed extensively to humanitarian organizations including War Child, the Red Cross, the UN, and Keif.
